“This film was made on faith, by faith and for faith,” screenwriter and actress Sam Sorbo told LifeZette about her upcoming faith-based picture, “Let There Be Light,” in an exclusive interview.

The film is the feature directorial debut of her husband, “Hercules” star Kevin Sorbo. Landing in theaters this Friday, “Light” also marks the entrance of Fox News host Sean Hannity into the film world. He executive-produced the movie and makes an appearance as himself in it.

Hannity had called Sorbo to tell him of his desire to produce a movie with a positive message, similar to some of the actor’s previous work, such as “God’s Not Dead.” When he dropped the call on his friend, Sam Sorbo had been putting together the script for “Let There Be Light” with screenwriter Dan Gordon.

The film follows Dr. Sol Harkins (Kevin Sorbo), a famed atheist author still grieving from the loss of one of his sons. When a car accident leads to a vision he cannot at first explain, Harkins begins questioning his entire belief system and working his way back into the lives of his family (played by his real-life wife, Sam, and his two sons).

LifeZette is proud to present an exclusive clip from “Let There Be Light,” which is a scene from the film between Kevin Sorbo and his onscreen and offscreen wife, Sam.
