Stephen Colbert is going to be in a tough spot when Donald Trump’s presidency inevitably comes to end (if, in fact, Colbert still has a show at that time).

Colbert’s monologues are almost always heavily influenced by each and every single thing the president says or does — and he even has an animated show coming to Showtime based on the Trump family.

Where will his material come from when his golden goose is gone?

Colbert’s latest Trump-related stunt is a billboard in Times Square that jokingly launches a “for your consideration” campaign for the “THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR,” something about which the president recently tweeted.

“Personally, I’m excited for ‘The Most Dishonest and Corrupt Media Awards of the Year,’ or as we call them in the biz, ‘The Fakies,'” Colbert said to his audience Wednesday night. “Because nothing gives you more credibility than Donald Trump calling you a liar. And I, of course, don’t want to get snubbed.”

In addition to the billboard, Colbert has a full-page Twitter ad that asks “for his consideration” in made-up categories such as “smallest button” and “least Breitbarty.”
