On Twitter, #ElectionDay and #MyVote2016 are top trending topics. As always, there are wisecracks and jokes mixed in with an array of heartfelt messages.

Celebrities, who have been actively urging people to vote (mostly for Hillary Clinton — surprise, surprise) — have been posting tweet reminders today, and have shared selfies sporting voting stickers.

Among the stars spotted doing their civic duty:

Taylor Swift didn’t post a selfie from the voting booth, but did share a photo of herself entering the voting place.

So did talk show host Kelly Ripa and her 18-year-old son, Michael, actresses Anne Hathaway and Sarah Jessica Parker, and actors Neil Patrick Harris and Justin Theroux (who is in Germany).

Amy Poehler tweeted that she sent in her absentee ballot last week.

Jessica Alba said, “Your vote matters!”

There were suggestions on Twitter about other possible candidates who might be a better fit to lead the country than either Trump or Clinton (though it’s a little late for that). One person offered up “Harry Potter” character Albus Dumbledore. Another suggested “Star Wars” baddie Darth Vader.

Country stars voiced their opinions for president a few months ago — picking only from a pool of country stars.

Among the top candidates: Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, and Dierks Bentley.
