Looking at the Twitter feeds of celebrities like Alec Baldwin and Michael Moore, it’s easy to become worried. They seem stressed. Their lives are in a constant state of disarray. And it’s all because of President Donald Trump.

However — the actual lives and careers of these people tell a very different story. Baldwin is playing a satirical version of the president on a near-weekly basis on “Saturday Night Live” and earning the best headlines of his career. Michael Moore, meanwhile, has found new relevance in the age of Trump.

Moore and Baldwin are just two examples of stars who may seem to be constantly exclaiming that the sky is falling — but the Trump presidency has been nothing but good for their profiles and their careers right now.

Baldwin even just signed a new book deal. To be released on Nov. 7, “You Can’t Spell America Without Me” will be a satirical look at President Trump’s first year in office. The book will be written from the perspective of Baldwin’s “Trump” character on “SNL.”

Baldwin is co-writing the book with novelist Kurt Andersen — and will read the audio version. It may be tough to remember through all the book deals, “SNL” appearances and gushing headlines, but it was just a few short years ago that Baldwin’s career appeared on its last leg.

The Academy Award-nominated actor had an MSNBC show cancelled after horrendous ratings and his run-in with a member of the paparazzi, in which he reportedly used a homophobic slur. And can anyone forget the audio tape that was released to the public, in which Baldwin called his daughter a “rude, thoughtless little pig”? The actor was forced to apologize on “The View” and even reportedly to seek help from television’s Dr. Phil.

Yet because of America’s new president, Baldwin found a flag to wave that propped him up in the media’s eyes. He’s now got a new book (as “Trump”), a regular gig on a popular TV show,  and headlines that make people forget about his controversy-laced career from not so long ago.

Moore, meanwhile, has found similar success on the back of President Trump. Once the anti-war liberal rebel who took on President George W. Bush, Moore showed just how partisan he really was when Barack Obama took office.

Despite the Democratic president’s continuation of two wars, his beefing up of the surveillance state and his fulfillment of almost no campaign promises, Moore found a rock to hide under. He showed his true colors. The filmmaker remained relatively silent for eight years about issues that would have had him fired up if a Republican had sat in the White House during the time or made the moves Obama did.

Enter Donald Trump. The potential of a comeback seemed possible for Moore. He even put out a new movie, “Michael Moore in TrumpLand” — which was rushed out to the public before the November elections.

Now, Moore’s “image” as a liberal rebel is back. No one on the Left seems to question the fact that he was almost completely silent during the Obama years. Liberals just invite him to marches and quote his tweets in “takedowns” of the sitting president — and are more than happy to do so.

Perhaps it’s time celebrities such as Baldwin and Moore take a moment to thank the president they complain about so much. Without him, they would have only the sad remnants of once-successful careers.
