Amazon is basically taking over the world — it was only a matter of time, right?

Seriously, it isn’t news that malls across the country are dying out because, well, who really likes going to the mall these days anyway? Where once it was a pleasure to drive, stroll and shop — today there’s little time, parking is a pain, and shopping online is now a way of life.

Toys “R” Us is the latest victim to be hit by America’s new efficiency (or laziness, depending on your perspective).

What a strange world it will be with even fewer teens wearing the moose logo. Abercrombie and Fitch announced last March it will close 60 of its U.S. locations at the end of their leases. The company is putting more emphasis on online sales.

Payless

Maybe if we had “paid more” as opposed to “less,” the shoe retailer wouldn’t have had to file for bankruptcy in April. Payless is moving to close 800 stores by the end of 2017.
