Abercrombie and Fitch
What a strange world it will be with even fewer teens wearing the moose logo. Abercrombie and Fitch announced last March it will close 60 of its U.S. locations at the end of their leases. The company is putting more emphasis on online sales.
Macy’s
Macy’s announced early in 2017 it would close 68 outlets. The company plans to reduce its workforce by several thousand employees. Christmas should be a blast …
Payless
Maybe if we had “paid more” as opposed to “less,” the shoe retailer wouldn’t have had to file for bankruptcy in April. Payless is moving to close 800 stores by the end of 2017.
