Donald Trump’s popularity has grown significantly in the days following his election, a new poll shows.

Forty-six percent of registered voters have a favorable view of Trump, according to a Politico/Morning Consult poll released Tuesday.

This is an increase of 9 points — a Morning Consult poll taken immediately prior to the election suggested that only 37 percent of voters held a favorable opinion of the president-elect.

While his favorability has grown by 9 points, perhaps more significant is the fact that his unfavorability has declined by 15 points. According to the Morning Consult poll taken prior to the election, 61 percent of voters held an unfavorable view of Trump — now only 46 percent hold such a view.

Part of the reason for Trump’s increasing popularity could be his handling of the transition process. Over half of voters believe Trump’s transition has been on par with or better than those of past presidents. Nineteen percent of voters believe Trump’s efforts are more organized than those of previous presidents-elect, while 34 percent think his transition is equally as organized as previous processes.

Trump’s soaring popularity is also significant considering the hostile coverage he is receiving from the mainstream media, and the chorus of various pundits and politicians egging on the protests that have raged since Trump’s win.

It may very well be further evidence that the mainstream liberal media’s control on the popular narrative is truly at an end.
