Donald Trump said during a rally Sunday in Iowa that it would be impossible for Hillary Clinton and her potential presidential administration to “go to work on Day 1 for the American people,” should she win on Nov. 8, because she is out of touch with the people’s dreams and concerns.

The GOP nominee fired up the rally’s attendees at the Sioux City Convention Center when he spoke of Clinton’s life as a privileged politician, deeply entrenched within the political Establishment. Saying that the insulated Democratic nominee and her cronies have “no idea” about what average Americans’ lives are like, Trump pointed to how Clinton’s economic policies reflect that detachment.

“The media and the political elite don’t know the pain and the suffering these people are living under.”

“The political and media elite have no idea what it’s like to be living on a paycheck-to-paycheck basis, not knowing whether or not the owners and leaders of their company are negotiating to move their plant or factory to Mexico or some other country and fire them — sometimes with virtually no notice,” Trump said.

“Politicians don’t understand what that’s like,” Trump added. “The media and the political elite don’t know the pain and the suffering these people are living under. But I figured it out a long time ago and that’s why I’m here and I’m with you rather than where I was.”

Insisting that “real change” means “restoring honesty to our government,” Trump asked the American people to remember Clinton’s decades of failure, corruption, and scandals — and to not let her escape a righteous verdict.

Trump reminded American voters that the upcoming election — just two days away — really revolves around the answer to one simple question: “Will our country be governed by the people or will it be governed by the corrupt political class?”

“We’re going to find out very soon,” Trump said, adding that if Clinton should clinch the victory, it would be a tragic loss for the American people and the rule of law.

“We need a government that can go to work on Day 1 for the American people. That will be impossible with Hillary Clinton,” Trump said. “Her current scandals and controversies will continue throughout her presidency and will make it virtually impossible for her to govern. Let’s hope we don’t have to think about it.”
