Globalists’ Predictable Vilification of Steve Bannon

MSNBC host Joe Scarborough implied that the political views of White House chief strategist Steve Bannon are dangerously outdated on Friday morning.

The “Morning Joe” co-host made the comments during a discussion on President Donald Trump’s Silicon Valley outreach efforts.

“If Donald Trump wants to get buy-in from these 21st century CEOs and these giants, he’s not going to be able to do it dragging around a philosophy based … in the late 1800s.”

“This is where you’re going to see the worldview of Bannon collide with the people that are running Apple and Google and all these other companies,” said Scarborough.

“Their vision of the world and Steve Bannon’s vision of the world are radically different. If Donald Trump wants to get buy-in from these 21st century CEOs and these giants, he’s not going to be able to do it dragging around a philosophy based … in the late 1800s,” Scarborough asserted.

While Scarborough didn’t go so far as some figures in the media or Democratic politicians who have smeared Bannon as a racist or white supremacist, his wink-wink-nudge-nudge comment about a 19th-century philosophy still plays into similar false narratives about the former CEO of Breitbart News.

The truth is that the globalists want desperately to neutralize Bannon’s influence in the White House, and their collaborators in the mainstream media — and the Democratic Party for that matter — or are all too willing to slander Bannon as a white supremacist if it leads to his downfall.

Bannon has faced a steady onslaught of accusations of white supremacism and white nationalism since his White House appointment was first announced, commencing with The Huffington Post’s hysterical headline, “WHITE NATIONALIST IN THE WHITE HOUSE.”

In December, Bannon was called a white supremacist by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). “Donald Trump has doubled down on racism and bigotry. He’s got as his strategic adviser, a person who is a white supremacist,” Warren told CNN’s Anderson Cooper.

On Thursday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi twice alleged Bannon was a white supremacist.”What’s making America less safe is to have a white supremacist named to the National Security Council as a permanent member,” she said during a news conference.

“It’s a stunning thing that a white supremacist, Bannon, would be a permanent member of the National Security Council and dismissing the chairman of the Joint Chiefs and the director … of national intelligence as members,” Pelosi continued.

These accusations are not only baseless, but have proven potentially dangerous. The riots at University of California, Berkeley this week suggest hyperbolic, racially charged rhetoric from the Left can encourage radical activists to attack Trump supporters and wantonly destroy property.

That protecting the globalist project is the real motive behind the slanderous campaign against Steve Bannon became painfully obvious as Scarborough continued his conversation with British journalist Katty Kay.

“One of the most extraordinary things, in a way, that Donald Trump has said in the past couple weeks — I thought — was when he was sitting in the Oval Office [and said] ‘We’re going to make it like it used to be,'” said Kay.

“The idea that the president of the United States wants to look backwards and not forwards … is Donald Trump Ronald Reagan, or is he King Canute trying to hold back the tide? The globalization ship has left port and it’s going to happen,” Kay insisted.

But this is simply not true. Despite what the globalists may believe, history didn’t end and it never will. Globalization is not inevitable, it is not a law of physics, and the notion of an unbending arc of progress throughout history which fundamentally underlines Kay’s assertion of globalization’s inevitability is utter nonsense.

Globalization is the concerted effort by corporate interests and their NGO front groups — like the Council on Foreign Relations and the RAND Corporation — to encourage economic and political consolidation for purposes of profit.

The globalist ship of which Kay spoke just ran into a giant iceberg of right-wing populism and is rapidly sinking. If the globalists have any hope of saving their precious project, they know figures like Steve Bannon must be silenced.
