LifeZette Editor-in-Chief Laura Ingraham said the “phenomenal speech” President Donald Trump delivered in Iowa Wednesday “reminds us why we want him on the road,” during an appearance Wednesday night on Fox News’ “Hannity.”

Ingraham noted the president has always been best able to communicate his agenda and message directly to the American people.

“[Trump] rallied the people against the intransigence of Congress and both the Democrat and the Republican Party,” she said. “He can set this country on fire in a good way, in a positive way.”

Ingraham pointed to the anti-Trump Democratic candidate’s crushing loss in a special election Tuesday for Georgia’s 6th Congressional District as evidence of Trump’s strength with voters.

“I think this election shows us that Donald Trump is much more popular than the Congress today,” she said.

Ingraham said she believes the GOP candidate in Georgia, and another in South Carolina, could have won by even larger margins on Tuesday had they more clearly shown support for the president.

“I believe the margins could have been bigger for the Republicans had they embraced Trump in a more profound way,” she said.

“Karen Handel should have campaigned with Trump and defied Congress,” Ingraham added.
