GOP front-runner Donald Trump’s massive victories in the so-called Acela Primary have cemented the total rejection of the Bush family legacy, LifeZette Editor-In-Chief Laura Ingraham said Tuesday.

“What we see now is the conservatives, and those are mostly represented by Cruz, and the populists are dominating the Republican Party. Bushism is over — that’s gone, that’s just been totally rejected,” Ingraham said during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News Channel.

“This is a great moment, people should savor this moment.” Ingraham went on to suggest Trump naysayers should embrace the front-runner, or risk handing Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton the election. “The life for conservatism will be much worse if Hillary becomes president of the United States because the party splits in two at the convention … If we go into that convention without unity, it’s over. Hillary wins this race.”

Ingraham noted “the sky is the limit” if the Republican Party were to unify behind Donald Trump and his populist appeal.

“There is a populist wave sweeping this country and it’s real — and to reject it and to dismiss it and to demean it is not going to get these conservatives any policy victories they want.”
