The Democratic Party has no ideas to present to the American people, so it has made the choice of trying to destroy the people that do have them.

Once it was definite that Donald Trump was going to be the president and not Hillary Clinton, the attacks came with a vengeance and haven’t let up. For a while before Mr. Trump was sworn in, some of these personal attacks seemed to gain some traction with the American people. The Democrats started their attacks based on the fact that because he had not held elected office, he did not have the experience to be president and was bungling the transition — they claimed.

I must make a critical point, tongue in cheek: The Democrats have a tendency to believe they know what is right for the country and the people, and therefore if they said it, then it must be true, and all of America must follow them because they are always correct. If they say that if the Republicans repeal ObamaCare and 200,000 people will be killed, because they’re are saying it, it must be true. The most vocal Democrat fighting against President Trump, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), has said, “We should impeach him now and worry about the evidence later.”

All these are great examples of an unbridled collective ego. I have said it, then it must be so, and all of you must believe what I have said; you are not entitled to a different opinion.

The Democrats have used such words as ‘unfit,’ ‘unstable,’ and other defamatory words to describe why Trump should not be president. At the same time that the Democrats were attacking him as a person, they pushed a social media hashtag to “Impeach 45,” Trump being the 45th president.

Waters said recently in a New York Times profile, “Trump was just so outrageous, so disrespectful, such a bully and dangerous for this country, I decided, you know what? I’m taking the gloves off, and I’m going to step out, I was going to not only challenge him but encourage others to see him for what he is: a bully, an egotistical maniac, a liar and someone who did not need to be president.”

Look at the words employed by Waters: “I decided,” “I’m taking,” “I’m going to,” and lastly, “I was.” This is an example of individual Democrats deciding they are entitled to make inflammatory decisions for the majority, regardless of what the majority thinks or believes.

The Democrats have no suggestions as to jobs, the economy, national security, and healthcare. They can only talk about Trump stealing the election, and that he is unfit to be president and must be impeached. Five times so far this year the Democrats had the opportunity to contest Republican seats in Congress. Each time they ran against the president and his agenda, and they lost each time, after spending many millions of dollars.

The Democrats and their friends in the mainstream media have yet to figure out that they are being played by President Trump. The President has been the point man in taking all the hits from the Democrats. What they don’t understand is how much is being done away from President Trump, behind the scenes. His cabinet officers are quietly bringing about change and trying to make the government more efficient and less costly. They are getting away from regulations that have stymied American business for the past eight years.

Things are getting done because President Trump has the second highest percentage of professional businessmen and women in his cabinet. President McKinley, long ago, had the most. I believe that every day he is in office and every overseas trip he makes, the American people think that Mr. Trump becomes more and more presidential.
