Edward Klein knows the Clintons. He’s written three books on the political power couple, talks often in TV interviews about Bill and Hillary, and is routinely slimed by the Clintonistas.

His controversial new book won’t help his relationship with the Clintons. According to “Unlikeable,” sources close to Hillary say she is quietly facing “mounting health issues” that can’t be ignored. Klein reports that insiders claim she has had a series of strokes, and suffers from insomnia and depression. One source said her symptoms bear a strong resemblance to those of multiple sclerosis.

Klein took time out of his book tour to answer a few questions about Hillary and “Unlikeable.”

Why is Hillary running for president even with “serious health issues”?

“Hillary has had her eye on the White House since she was in college,” Klein said. “Her ambition to become the first woman president has not diminished over all these years. To achieve that goal, she has covered up her health issues. However, her friends report that Hillary suffers from blinding headaches, dizzy spells, trembling hands, and an intrinsic tendency to form blot clots.”

Full disclosure has never been a trait of the Clintons. Why the leaks now?

“The leaks are not coming from the Clintons,” said Klein. “They are coming from the Obama White House, which does not want to see Hillary become president of the United States, and which does not want to see Bill Clinton take control of the Democratic Party and all the patronage that comes with that control.”

In an interview in March on “Fox and Friends,” Klein said that according to his sources, the White House is leaking information to its “friends in the mainstream media” about Hillary’s actions as secretary of state. Klein said his sources inside the White House told him Hillary is under six investigations that were sparked by the Obama administration.

While some in the media claim this is a convenient diversion under the mounting email investigation and a losing presidential race, is this accurate?

Klein said no. “At this point of the primary campaign, Hillary has no plans to drop out of the race,” he said. “In fact, she believes that the email scandal has been cooked up by her enemies in the right-wing conspiracy and that she will ultimately prevail.”

Liberal media are claiming these leaks about Hillary’s health are lies, created by “desperate conservatives” running out of material on the “phony email scandal.” Are you a mouthpiece for the Republican Party, as they claim?

“The attacks on me are nothing new. Like every journalist who criticizes Hillary, I have been called bad names by what Maureen Dowd, the columnist of the New York Times, calls ‘the Clinton slime room.’ I don’t take those attacks seriously.”
