If you’re a Republican, you’re insane. There, I said it. I’m INSANE. And proud of it. I’m in good company.

You know what else is insane? Sacrificing a comfortable lifestyle under the oppressive authoritarian regime of an imperialistic world power, signing a Declaration of Independence that would, for some, serve as their death warrant, and launching a battle for the fundamental values of liberty and democracy that would shake the world to its core — even at the cost of their lives.

My generation has been suppressed, gagged, blamed, and mortgaged by our leftist society from the day we were born.

God bless the Founding Fathers. We would have no country without them.

You know what else is insane? Willingly charging headfirst into sheets of enemy fire, choosing to sacrifice your life and liberties for the sake of securing those same rights for perfect strangers. Defying death and fear and taking that hill so that future generations may live safely, free, and at peace.

God bless our service members. I couldn’t write this piece without you.

You know what else is insane? Taking the message of freedom and salvation to the furthest reaches of the world — braving subhuman living conditions, impossible obstacles, and outright persecution for the sake of another’s ability to simply live peacefully on this earth.

God bless the missionaries and humanitarians. The world would not be the same without you.

You know what’s considered insane these days? Speaking your mind. Challenging the norm. Building something of your own. Daring to think for yourself. BEING MYSELF.

I refuse.

Who do you think would win the Presidency?

I will not be told what to think about an issue. I will not be told how to feel about society. I will not be mischaracterized into silence or marginalized into apathy. I will not be reduced to the lowest common denominator. I will not be homogenized into a hivemind voting bloc.

I’m a Republican, and I’m damn proud of it — and why shouldn’t I be? The GOP is built on the tradition of those who defy logic and fight for their principles. We’re the party of individualism. The party of opportunity, where hard work is rewarded. The party of free enterprise — not free stuff. The party that made America great.

I represent the tip of the iceberg. My generation has been suppressed, gagged, blamed, and mortgaged by our leftist society from the day we were born. We won’t stand for it anymore. The crony political class built by Hillary Clinton and her taker mentality can label us insane all they want. “Sane” people don’t make waves.

Surf’s up.
