Homemade fruit roll-ups are a delicious and healthy snack to have on hand for lunch boxes or when you’re on the go.
These are an especially great way to use overripe, imperfect fruit. In fact, if you go to your local farmers markets (still open in many parts of the country) you can get great deals on imperfect fruit at this time of year.

When you are making a recipe that requires a lot of produce, ask the farmer at your local farmers market for “seconds,” which are bruised or blemished pieces available at a lower price.

Then cut out any nasty bits and proceed with cooking, or freeze it to have on hand and make later.
This recipe uses strawberries, but many other fruits would work well here, too. You can even use pumpkin puree to make delicious pumpkin fruit roll ups.
