Celebrities have not exactly presented a united front in the pop culture world since Donald Trump took office as 45th president of the United States. Some stars, such as Rosie O’Donnell, talk constantly about impeachment; Eminem recently rapped that the president was a “b****” — and others, like Madonna, talk about blowing up the White House.

Some even bully Donald Trump’s 10-year-old son, Barron (as former “SNL” writer Katie Rich did), or they condone it (Chelsea Handler, Dan Harmon).

However, all hope is not lost. A handful of celebrities have managed to overlook their political differences with President Trump and embrace the new administration. These celebrities have promoted unity and a constructive future in the face of an aggressive pop culture that is promoting blanket rage toward anything Trump-related.

Here’s a look at some of the more positive and forward-thinking celebrities.

Matthew McConaughey recently faced backlash from the Left for his embrace of President Trump and his thoughtful comments about regular folks fighting back against elitism.

“It’s very dynamic and as divisive of an inauguration and time as we’ve had. At the same time, it’s time for us to embrace and shake hands with this fact. And be constructive with him [Trump] over the next four years,” McConaughey said in an interview with ChannelFi while promoting his latest feature, “Gold.”

He continued, “Anyone, even those who may strongly disagree with his principles or things he’s said and done — and that’s another thing, we’ll see what he does compares to what he has said — no matter how much you even disagreed along the way, it’s time to think about how constructive can you be.”

The actor also used his latest feature — which is about a man who finds gold and fights the government to keep it — to exemplify the struggling Americans who voted for Trump.

“I mean, it’s an underdog story. This is the guy that nobody bets on. This is like millions of people, if not billions, who get out of bed every day, and don’t have a ticket to the American Dream. They are going to have to hustle their way in the back door, the side door, or come down the chimney, and be an entrepreneur, and make it their own way — by hook or by crook.”

Social media reactions to the “Dazed and Confused” actor’s words were harsh. Some called the actor “alt-right,” while others spewed vulgarity his way for suggesting the best step for the future was one in which people work with the new administration, rather than against it.

Morgan Freeman was certainly never a Donald Trump supporter. He was a vocal critic during the presidential race and threw his weight behind Democrat Hillary Clinton. However, in a recent interview with AARP: The Magazine, Freeman had some positive words to say about the new president and the future of the country.

“I’m holding out hope that Donald Trump has to be a good president. He can’t not be. What I see is a guy who will not lose,” said Freeman. “I supported Hillary in the election, and now it feels like we are jumping off a cliff.”

He added, “I’m not scared, though.” Freeman previously called Clinton’s email scandals “political hogwash.” The fact that he could put those politics aside and promote a vision of a hopeful future is one we wish scores of other celebrities would consider.

Jeff Bridges has gone against the Hollywood political grain multiple times since Trump’s electoral victory. Bridges told Entertainment Weekly shortly after Election Day that the popularity of his most recent film, “Hell or High Water,” was related to how the flick captured the spirit of the Trump voter and the real estate mogul’s shocking rise.

“The story the movie is telling shines a light on why the election went the way it did, and how seriously disappointed many people have been in the way that the government is running,” said Bridges. The film was recently nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture and for Best Supporting Actor, for Bridges.

He also said in the interview he was “rooting” for Trump to succeed as president. Bridges continued his message of unity in a recent interview with CNN Money: “Things are finite here … How are we going to work together to make the most beautiful existence that we can?” Bridges said liberals angry with election results should “put a check” on their aggression and stop “being so sure that Trump is an a**hole and that he’s going to be terrible.”

He added, “You can have very strong opinions, but to go after this peace and this beauty that we’re after, I think we gotta show up and give a little space for something beautiful to bloom out of it.”

He even quoted one his most famous movies, “The Big Lebowski,” when giving a message to anti-Trump protesters: “As the Dude might say, ‘This aggression will not stand.'”

Bryan Cranston was actually one of a handful of celebrities who threatened to leave the country if Donald Trump became president. After election results were in, the Hillary Clinton supporter quickly changed his tune.

“Although shocked and disappointed by the outcome, I hope the pres[ident]-elect will work to unify our wounded country. I sincerely wish him success,” tweeted Cranston after it was clear Clinton had failed to win the presidency. However, Cranston was also one of the celebrities to exploit the public stage at the SAG Awards — to diss Trump, of course.

Nicole Kidman, the Australian-born actress, typically stays out of politics. However, when asked about Donald Trump in a January interview with the BBC, the “Lion” actress said, “I just say: ‘He’s now elected and we as a country need to support whoever is the president, because that’s what the country is based on.'”

After facing backlash for her perfectly reasonable sentiments, Kidman told Access Hollywood, “I was trying to stress that I believe in democracy and the American Constitution, and it was that simple.”

Perhaps the worst criticism came from “Avengers” director Joss Whedon — who is often deemed a feminist filmmaker by the press. Whedon tweeted a photo of Kidman from the interview next to a doll with the caption: “Puppets for Trump.” Whedon has also compared Ivanka Trump to a dog — and joked about the death of House Speaker Paul Ryan. So there you go.
