If Donald Trump is elected on Nov. 8, surely the markets will plummet — so claim the naysayers. As a matter of fact, some even say we should all start storing up our gold and silver, because certainly a collapse of the global economy and currency is near.

The bigger problem with Wall Street is not the collapse of the markets, but the collapse of the ideology it’s grown accustomed to. Artificially low interest rates, central bank intervention, government control, world central banks investing in the markets, and the ability to financially engineer financial statements to create earnings is the easy way. Donald Trump certainly threatens the way of life Wall Street has adopted.

“He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.”

Where in this election cycle has all the wisdom gone? Are we being optimistic in thinking there is any wisdom left?

So many are critical of senior citizens who support Donald Trump in this election — supporting what they know to be a better America. Those who still have wisdom left are not buying into the ideology of Barack Obama after his eight years of a “thriving economy.” They know that it’s a “Twilight Zone” economic mentality — but a mentality that many, even on Wall Street, employ.

The central issue, with one day before this crucial election, returns to the issue of wisdom. I do believe there’s enough wisdom left to vote for America’s best interests, but the question is: Will voters exercise that wisdom? The economy and American jobs are huge issues in this election, but there are other important matters to consider as well: our religious freedoms, the Constitution, our military might, moral leadership, and the protection of the Judeo-Christian principles on which this country was founded.

We can exercise wisdom to end abortion, for example, rather than fund Planned Parenthood with our tax dollars. We can exercise wisdom to vote for the candidate who will appoint Supreme Court justices who will affirm American values so that future generations can have it better than we did — not worse. This is what we are voting for tomorrow — the future.

America doesn’t need to look like Denmark or France. We don’t need socialized medicine; we already have the best doctors, hospitals, and medicine in the world. We don’t need our freedoms infringed upon to the point where we can’t even make health care decisions or choose our own doctors.

This is not the America we’ve lived in, and it should not be the America we are satisfied leaving to our children. And I don’t believe it’s the America that God intended. Only God could provide the freedoms America has enjoyed for the past 240 unprecedented years. We are His instruments, so it is up to us to choose the America we will pass on to future generations. It is up to us to exercise our God-given wisdom.

Senior citizens are flocking to Donald Trump because they possess an enormous amount of wisdom. They have truly lived life and have seen God work through righteous men and women, along with the unrighteous.

The book of Daniel reminds us that wisdom and might are God’s — wisdom comes from God, just like everything we “own.” Perhaps this election should be more about following the wisdom of God. He desires to give His people a chance to exercise wisdom and advance what is right. Take the pro-life standpoint, for example, or fundamentally changing America through Supreme Court justices nominations via the next president.

Daniel 2:21 says, “He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.” Senior citizens have witnessed these times and seasons. And many of them will cast a vote for Donald Trump tomorrow because, over the years, they have gained wisdom.

Unfortunately, there are many who will not allow wisdom to dictate their vote tomorrow. They don’t see the desperate need for our country to turn back to God. And they also don’t understand what it will take to turn America around financially and morally.

Let’s vote for what is right for America. Let’s show some wisdom. Let’s get back to the basics that worked in the first place. We not only owe it to future generations, but we owe it to ourselves and our Creator to use the wisdom that comes only from Him.
