Newly elected progressive Democrat starlets are “overplaying their hand” and may make it increasingly difficult for House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) “to move forward” with the party’s agenda after the 2018 midterm elections, attorney Harmeet Dhillon said Tuesday night on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle.”

Congresswoman-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) joined climate change activists in a protest outside Pelosi’s office on Tuesday during the first day of her own freshman orientation on Capitol Hill.

A video that circulated on social media showed Ocasio-Cortez (pictured above left) high-fiving the protesters with the Sunrise Movement and Justice Democrats — before addressing them.

Ocasio-Cortez also shared a photo of herself with newly elected lawmakers Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) — and she captioned it “Squad.”

These progressive women include the first black woman elected to Congress from Massachusetts, the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, and the youngest woman elected to Congress.

Meanwhile, Pelosi is seeking to reclaim the speakership of the House as some anti-Establishment incoming and incumbent members of the House refuse to support her.

“These women may as well be the four horsewomen of the apocalypse for the Democratic Party, if you ask me,” said Fox News host Laura Ingraham, “because they represent some of the most radical views in Congress: free college for all, free health care for all, the abolishment of ICE, and a Green New Deal where the U.S. depends entirely on renewable energy.”

Dhillon, founder of the Dhillon Law Group Inc. and the Republican National Committeewoman for California, told Ingraham that Ocasio-Cortez’s protest stunt was “a little wacky and alarming, I’m sure particularly for Nancy Pelosi and other senior leaders of the Democratic Party, because they’ve won the election already.”

“Now is the time for them to coalesce if they want to get everything done. But there’s already been signs beyond what we saw in the spectacle in your video today, Laura, that they want to change the rules to increase the threshold in the Democratic Caucus to 218,” Dhillon said. “In other words, they want there to be virtually unanimity among the caucus.”

“And so … the Democrats — they’re overplaying their hand … And I think we’re in for a lot of fissures and a lot of discord within as well, which is going to undermine their ability to move forward with their agenda,” Dhillon warned.

But Nomiki Konst, a member of the Unity Reform Commission of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and a friend of Ocasio-Cortez’s, insisted that House Democrats are not “necessarily divided” after retaking the majority.

“I think that we’re going through a very natural transition. What [Ocasio-Cortez] did in Nancy Pelosi’s office was actually a sign of a strong party,” Konst rather stunningly claimed on “The Ingraham Angle.”

“The bottom line here is we won back Congress. The Democrats won back Congress,” Konst declared, adding that “it is important to have somebody who understands how Congress functions, how to work with a diverse caucus.”

Although Konst said Pelosi does bring “expertise” and “knowledge” and is “very likable when it comes to some progressive issues,” she warned that Pelosi is not in line with “corporate issues.”

“I think that progressives of my generation would like to see somebody who is more independent of the corporate class that does not reflect a new generation of progressive Democrats” lead the House Democrats, Konst added.

Dhillon warned that “the same money that got these people elected — the big corporate interests that want to see Democrats controlling the agenda — they’re not going to let those types of radical, far-Left things happen.”

Pelosi praised the climate change activists in a statement on Tuesday for their passion and offered her support, but the Sunshine Movement warned on Twitter that “words aren’t enough.”

“So I think that ultimately they’re going to be really hobbled in getting this [far-Left agenda] done. But it’s going to cause a lot of acrimony and discord,” Dhillon predicted.

“We welcome this support, but words aren’t enough. @NancyPelosi must mandate the House committee put forward a plan for a #GreenNewDeal to transform our economy in 12 years & stop climate change. If she fails to do so, it’s time to step aside,” the group wrote.
